Action Speed Racer is a demon behind the wheel of his Mach 5, designed by his father Pops who runs the family racing business; so good that Royalton Industries, run by its Machiavellian owner, offers Speed a lucrative contract to drive for them instead. He declines, determined to remain loyal to his father, mother and the memory of his older brother Rex who died during a high profile competition. In revenge, Royalton plots Speed's demise on the racetrack.
