Action Billionaire industrialist and brilliant inventor Tony Stark is kidnapped by terrorists during a weapons testing demonstration overseas. The radical group demands that Tony use his technical expertise to build a devastating weapon, which can be used against the American people. Instead, the inventor uses his time in captivity to fashion an ultra-strong suit of armour, turning himself into Iron Man. Once he escapes the kidnappers, Tony uncovers a devastating plot with horrific global implications. Bidding goodbye to his beautiful assistant, Virginia "Pepper" Potts, Tony slips into his armour and blasts off to save the world.
