Re-issue of Alfred Hitchcock's acclaimed version of Daphne Du Maurier's novel, concerning the new wife of widower Maxim de Winter, whose household Manderlay remains in the iron grip of servant Mrs Danvers and the memory of the master's late wife. As the new Mrs de Winter struggles to live up to her predecessor and win the approval of the house staff, she begins to uncover the truth about Rebecca's demise, which seems to be connected to the old, abandoned boat house.
