The year is 1997 and Blur and Oasis are in the last throes of the Battle of Britpop. Steven Stelfox is a scheming A&R junior at London-based Unigram Records. When the head of A&R leaves, Steven is crushed to learn that coke-snorting colleague Waters is handed the promotion by virtue of seniority rather than merit. So he plots to kill his new boss. The untimely death piques the curiosity of music-obsessed police detective Woodham.
