Only Yesterday

Twenty-seven year-old Taeko yearns to escape city life so she decides to visit her brother-in-law's family in Yamagata to help with the forthcoming harvest. She is met at the train station by her brother-in-law's second cousin, Toshio, and his friendship helps her to come to terms with the ghosts of the past. In the process, Taeko reevaluates her priorities and questions whether she should return to Tokyo or remain in the countryside.
