Deepwater Horizon: The IMAX Experience

Engineer Mike Williams boards a helicopter that will take him to the BP-owned and operated drilling platform Deepwater Horizon located approximately 40 miles off the coast of Louisiana. Installation manager Jimmy Harrell becomes concerned that BP officials, including well site leader Donald Vidrine, have not carried out enough safety checks. He orders a test, which brings back concerning results. Soon after, a massive blow-out unleashes hell upon the 121-metre long rig.
