The Ballad Of Shirley Collins

The Ballad Of Shirley Collins

Documentary Painstakingly filmed, researched and edited over the course of three and a half years, this documentary is an intimate portrait of singer Shirley Collins, who joined her sister Dolly at the forefront of the English folk music revival in the 1960s and 1970s. In 1980, Shirley was diagnosed with dysphonia, a rare disorder of the vocal chords that eventually robbed her of her voice and forced her into early retirement.
