Film Stars Don't Die In Liverpool

Drama Liverpudlian actor Peter Turner and Oscar-winning Hollywood actress Gloria Grahame are staying in the same London guesthouse in the late 1970s. Romance blossoms and Peter follows his glamorous sweetheart to America where he meets her indomitable mother Jeanne McDougall and older sister Joy. When Gloria receives devastating news, she ends the affair to spare Peter greater pain further down the line. Many years later, Gloria returns to the UK for a stage role and collapses in her dressing room.
