Comedy It has been seven months since teenager Angela Hayes was raped, murdered then set alight on her way home. The dead girl's grief-stricken mother Mildred is so frustrated by the lack of progress under police chief Bill Willoughby, she rents three advertising hoardings on the outskirts of town and emblazons each billboard with a message aimed directly at the local cops. Officer Jason Dixon reacts violently to Mildred's public spat with his superior and Mildred's son Robbie suffers abuse.
