Romance In 1962 Baltimore, Elisa Esposito works alongside good friend Zelda as a janitor at a top-secret US government laboratory where scientist Robert Hoffstetler and his team are conducting experiments at the behest of General Frank Hoyt. Out of the blue, Colonel Richard Strickland arrives at the facility with a large metal tank, which contains a strange aquatic creature from South America. Elisa becomes emotionally attached to the amphibious wonder and hatches a daring escape plan.
