Drama Carrie Cracknell directs Polly Stenham's contemporary remaining of August Strindberg's Miss Julie, recorded live on the stage of the National Theatre in London. Vanessa Kirby stars in the emotionally demanding title role of a disenchanted party girl, whose home is filled with revellers. As the music blares and couples entwine, Jean and Kristina - who are romantically involved - are busy downstairs in the kitchen, cleaning away empty glasses and discarded bottles.
