Drama Lead guitarist Brian May, drummer Roger Taylor and bassist John Deacon are on the hunt for a new singer for their band. The flamboyant Freddie Mercury seizes his moment in the spotlight and he inspires the group to think outside of the box with the operatic song Bohemian Rhapsody. Flanked by lifelong companion Mary Austin and personal manager Paul Prenter, Freddie creates one of the defining images of Live Aid in 1985 and struggles to keep secret his diagnosis with Aids.
