Documentary Director Orlando von Einsiedel is used to turning his camera on subjects in emotionally and physically demanding situations. In Evelyn, von Einsiedel turns the lens on himself and his family as they come to terms with the death of the filmmaker's brother Evelyn, who committed suicide 14 years ago following his diagnosis as schizophrenic. Orlando and two siblings embark on a hiking tour to the landscapes that Evelyn liked to walk and they finally talk about the missing member of the family.
