Mary Queen Of Scots

6.5 out of 10

Drama In the late 16th century, Elizabeth rules England but her power is threatened by her 18-year-old cousin, Mary Stuart, who has returned from France to her Scottish motherland. Many English Catholics believe that Mary is the legitimate heir to the English throne and her very existence poses a challenge her Protestant cousin's claim. Members of the respective royal courts including Elizabeth's adviser William Cecil attempt to manoeuvre the two women onto a course of war.
