Drama Jackie is the grand dame of drag at a nightclub in the seaside resort, delighting regular with his acerbic tongue and a vast arsenal of put downs. On stage he is fearless, but behind the scenes Jackie bears the scars of a broken marriage to a wife who couldn't understand his penchant for wearing women's clothes. Nervous 21-year-old performer Faith hopes to try out on the stage. A touching bond forms between the battle-scarred old timer and the gay newbie.
