Birds Of Passage (Parent And Baby Screening)

Drama Zaida is a member of a Wayuu indigenous tribe in 1960s Colombia. The young woman is readied for marriage by undergoing a period of strict isolation. When she emerges, neighbour Rapayet attempts to win Zaida's hand by paying formidable matriarch Ursula a dowry. Rapayet meets this demand by trafficking marijuana with best friend Moises. When one deal goes disastrously wrong, Wayuu law dictates that Rapayet must kill Moises. A cycle of violence pits Ursula against a rival family.
