In 1961, he made his debut as Rodolfo in La Boheme, beginning a steady rise to stardom. Director Ron Howard is granted access to the Pavarotti family archives for an affectionate documentary portrait of a father and husband, who sold in excess of 100 million records worldwide. The film incorporates footage from concerts and interviews to recount Pavarotti's journey in his own words.
