Drama Politics is an exceedingly grubby business in the world premiere of Simon Woods's bruising and witty portrait of the governing class, which is broadcast live from the stage of the National Theatre in London. The year is 1988 and Tory politician Robin Hesketh returns home to the Cotswolds as his government, under the yoke of Margaret Thatcher, prepares to introduce Section 28, which bans promoting homosexuality or publishing material with the intention of promoting homosexuality in schools.
