Laure prepares to move out of her apartment in the city centre to move in with her lover - a change of scenery which is both exciting and extremely unsettling. As she drives the short distance to a dinner date with friends Marie and Bernard, Laure finds herself caught up in a massive traffic jam, brought about by a transit strike. As she sits forlornly in her car, Laure spies dashing stranger, Jean and, on the spur of the moment, offers to give him a lift.
