Invictus

Drama Following his release from Robben Island in February 1990 and subsequent election as the president of South Africa, Nelson Mandela inherits a country deeply scarred by apartheid. Nowhere is this more pronounced than on the rugby field: only white South Africans cheer the Springboks. With only a year until the Rugby World Cup, Mandela attempts to inspire captain Francois Pienaar and his men to victory.
