When one of his brothers is killed by a bear protecting her cubs, young hunter Kenai sets out to kill the animal in revenge. However, the spirits of the forest are angered by Kenai's actions and they transform him into the one thing he hates the most: a bear. Forced to see the world through the animal's eyes, Kenai gains new understanding of the creature's plight.
