Feisty saloon owner Vienna is at odds with some of the residents of the Arizona town she calls home. Not only does she serve confederates at the bar, Vienna is in favour of the railroad that jeopardises the livelihoods of the cattlemen, who raise livestock on the edge of town. John McIvers and his posse, including Vienna's embittered rival Emma Small, plot to drive the saloon keeper out of town by fair means or foul.
