Emmet is an ordinary LEGO mini-figure, who is mistaken from a mythical figure known as MasterBuilder by an ancient wizard Vitruvius. Before he can clear up this unfortunate misunderstanding, Emmet is press-ganged into leading the quest to defeat a nefarious LEGO tyrant aided by a rogue's gallery of historical and fictional mini-figures including Batman, Superman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman and Abraham Lincoln.
