Every night, when a boy called Ben falls asleep, his magical Crayon Box transports the crayons Yellow, Red, Blue, Green and the twins Black and White to Colour City. On one occasion, timid Yellow is left behind and she inadvertently awakens two unfinished drawings called King Scrawl and his sidekick Gnat, who follow Yellow back to Colour City and threaten the enchanted Rainbow Waterfall.
