At the tender age of 10, Myrtle "Tilly" Dunnage is falsely accused of murder by the other residents of Dungatar. The girl is banished from her hometown and finds her calling in Paris as a dressmaker under the tutelage of legendary designer Madeleine Vionnet. When her mother Molly falls ill, Tilly returns to Dungatar and exacts delicious revenge on the people, who wrongly labelled her a murderer.
