Airlift
Saddam Hussein's Iraqi army invades Kuwait on August 2, 1990. Intense fighting traps 177,000 Indian expats inside the battle-scarred nation without any money or means to get themselves back home. Wealthy businessman Ranjit Katiyal uses his connections and influence to spearhead an exhaustive rescue mission. Taking on the role of the group's leader, he co-ordinates 488 Air India commercial airliners over 59 days to fly into the war zone and transport his fellow countrymen and -women safely home.
