Kaptaan Singh harks from a long line of lawyers and he is pressurised into following in the footsteps of his controlling father. Unfortunately, his inability to win a single case irritates the rest of the family. His uncle, who is a judge, offers Kaptaan a tantalising proposition: if he can win a case and earn his father's pride, the uncle will employ Kaptaan in his law firm in America and also bless the marriage of his nephew to sweetheart Preeti.
