In 2016 BC, young indigo farmer Sarman enters the majestic city of Mohenjo Daro and falls madly in love with a beautiful dancer called Chaani. She is the daughter of a powerful priest, who is predicted to lay the foundations for a new society. In his amorous pursuit of Chaani, Sarman uncovers long buried secrets about the city and his past, which have dramatic repercussions for everyone in Mohenjo Daro.
