SciFi Mankind launches the Starship Avalon, loaded with over 5,000 people in deep sleep. This precious cargo is heading for the distant colony planet of Homestead II. Thirty years into the journey, hibernation pods malfunction and mechanical engineer Jim Preston and journalist Aurora Dunn wake prematurely. They discover that they cannot reset the pods' sleep command and they must spend the rest of their lives together with the ship's robot bartender, Arthur.
