Drama Osamu Shibata lives in a cramped apartment with his wife Nobuyo, son Shota, grandmother and a sex worker called Aki. The family makes end meets by shoplifting from local stores and Osamu and his boy are experts at concealing products in their backpacks without detection. During one of their forays, father and son encounter a little girl called Juri, who appears to have been abandoned by her parents. The Shibatas take in Juri and raise her as their own.
