Drama Anton and his wife Natalia are desperate for their young daughter Polina to escape the harsh reality of life in Russia in the shadow of nuclear power plants. The girl is a gifted dancer and she gains admission to a prestigious school, where choreographer Bojinski singles out Polina for harsh criticism because he can see her raw potential and wants the child to push herself to the physical limit.
