Comedy Alfred has been corresponding for months with a pen pal, unaware that the mystery woman is his infuriating new work colleague, Klara. The two regularly clash, to the consternation of their boss at the gift shop, Mr Matuschek and delivery boy, Pepi. Over time, Alfred and Klara begin to fall in love, with a helpful nudge from his best friend and co-worker, Pirovitch.
