Drama Amadeus is devastated by the death of his wife Margaret. At the funeral, Amadeus's son Nick grows concerned about the old man's mental state and insists his father moves in with his him, wife Sarah and daughter Matilda. The family quickly surmises that Amadeus's faltering memory can be attributed to Alzheimer's. Young Matilda suggests a family holiday to Venice, where Amadeus met his wife. The trip might jolt Amadeus's memory and afford him a few brief moments of beautiful clarity.
