Thriller East End hard man Jack 'Spot' Comer leads his troops at the Battle of Cable Street in 1936 and he subsequently seizes control of the capital's criminal underworld when the powerful Sabini gang from Italy are detained. Cocksure wannabe Billy Hill approaches Comer for a position in his rapidly expanding empire, which Billy hopes will allow him to make his name.
