Drama Julie lives in early 1980s Knightsbridge with flatmates, who are not ashamed to take advantage of Julie's well-to-do Norfolk parents. Her mother occasionally pops in with food shopping and wearily lends money to finance her daughter's dreams of becoming a filmmaker. In the throes of creative endeavour - Julie's masterpiece is a documentary about the people of Sunderland - she encounters Foreign Office junior Anthony. They embark on a tempestuous romance.
