Horror Grace believes her dreams have come true when she marries Alex Le Domas, eldest son of a board game dynasty stretching back generations. Alex is somewhat estranged from his parents, siblings and aunt Helene. Regardless, Alex abides by tradition and marries Grace at the vast family estate. At midnight, the entire family gathers in a wood-panelled room to honour a longstanding tradition. A new member of the family must draw a card from a wooden box and play the game indicated.
